Samurai Deeper Kyo
Samurai Deeper Kyo is a 26 episode anime series totalling 624 minutes. It follows a group of samurai, ninja, bounty hunters, and other otherwise fighters whose paths get intertwined in various quests involving the chaos and order of Japan in the 1600s. Although similar to the manga, it does stray from that plot quite a bit, introducing a "slightly" more imaginative aspect to the series.
Witch Hunter Robin
Witch Hunter Robin is a 26 episode anime series totalling 624 minutes. It follows 15 year old Robin Sena and the other members of the STN-J, a Japanese organization whose job is to capture witches that pose a threat to the public. Note that in this series, witches are humans with genetically inherited supernatural powers, not witches in the magic wand and spell casting sense.
Read or Die
Read or Die is a 3 episode OAV/anime series totalling 90 minutes. It follows special agents Yomiko Readman and Nancy Makuhari in their attempt to end a book-stealing plan initiated by a group of powerful individuals whose true goals remain unknown.
The Climb
Driving his dirt-covered jeep, he looked forward to Mount Dione--the bearer of his future. After some time, he found himself pulling up to the foot of the mountain. He excitedly hopped out of his vehicle and began to remove his preparations for the bright future ahead of him. With his backpack full of food and supplies, he departed from his Jeep and commenced his ascent to the top of Dione.

The Outlander is a book by Gil Adamson, a Canadian author. The book follows a murderess widow as she tries to run from the vengeful brothers of her deceased husband.
Chrno Crusade
Chrno Crusade is a 24 episode anime series totalling 576 minutes. It takes place in New York, USA, in 1928 and follows Sister Rosette Christopher and her partner Chrono who are members of the Order of Magdalene, an exorcist organization. There are two main plots in which the Magdalene Order partakes: first, the destruction of devils unleashed from Hell, and second, search for Rosette's brother, who was kidnapped by a devil when they were kids.
“The Metamorphosis” by Franz Kafka
The Metamorphosis is a short novel by Franz Kafka. It follows the life of Gregor Samsa after he wakes up one day and finds himself transformed into a giant beetle.
“Virus Hunter” by C.J. Peters & Mark Olshaker
Virus Hunter is a non-fiction book written by C.J. Peters with help from Mark Olshaker. It is an autobiographical account of Peters' work as a physician and field virologist. He appears in Richard Preston's The Hot Zone, though he doesn't appear as the protagonist.
