We All Love Free Things
Don't you agree?
This is the third News Article of today.
I'm not going to say much about this at all. But...
Swimming at UBC is now free anytime for students. Hooray for the UBC AMS I guess. (Some people will probably like this :P I myself don't swim).
Are you guys going to utilize the free swimming? Or are you too uninterested in the facilities?
PS: Krystal, free swimming! Come to UBC! (lol; I know you won't, but still :P)

Hooray — well, not really :P.
First of all, it isn’t “free” — we paid for it in our student fees. Secondly, only the 7:30 – 9:00 AM lanes are length-wide (50m). In the words, the rest of the “length-swim” times suck :P .
I went 3x last week. Hopefully I can get up at 7 either on Thursday or Friday and drag myself over…

Except that UNBC already did that so we are a step ahead. We have free access to the pools anytime of the day (well during pool hours so usually 6am-11pm) and it is wherever. It is supported throught the U-pass program. Our U-pass is actually a lot more than bus lol
